"It’s brilliant to be here and thank you all for coming. As you know I was arrested yesterday at Bristol Collge Green, my 6th Covid resistance arrest and there was 6 other people arrested. I thank all of you who turned up, I know a lot of you were there. That is brilliant, because support for the movement is going up and up. Now yesterday, the police said that a bail condition was not to go to Newport today.
Of course this is a transgression of our human rights: Articles 10 & 11 of the Human Rights Act. So what we decided to do was come anyway to Wales. So I’m in Wales, only a few miles from where you are, but we thought it best to avoid another arrest today.
However, when the time comes if we have to be arrested, then we will be arrested. Because in the end, it’s only when we can defy the law, that we’re going to win.
So the Resistance to the Covid Con is going up, and I’ve got to say well done to all the businesses holding out against the new laws. In particular the Holey Skin operation in Bristol - fantastic - and the gyms in Liverpool - their resisting has been amazing. And there are restaurants around the country now staying open. I want to thank all those people in College Green yesterday who vigorously tried to prevent the police taking me away.
Now I was arrested, as others were too, but we are undaunted, and the important thing is, we keep on going, There were new people demonstrating yesterday, and that is happening around the country. And we are challenging now Boris Johnson, Priti Patel and Sadiq Khan (who is in charge of a lot of police activity in London).
We are challenging them to give any evidence that anyone in an open air rally has ever got the so called Covid Virus by being present in a rally. Now we know there is no evidence, but let them come up with it. And the fact there is none, proves that all this is about is taking away our rights to protest and organise because the New World Order is trying to impose a police state and take away businesses and hand them over to mega-corporations.
This is the truth upon us now which we said was going to happen 6 months ago. We were called conspiracy theorists, but now we can see that yesterday’s conspiracy theory is today’s truth. And I think people need to understand that the choice before us is pretty stark.
We know that if we lose this, then we’ll have imposed upon us a dystopian nightmare. If we win then of course we are going to be having a new accountable future and that would be better than what we have.
